ClearCorrect Case Gallery: Steps to Create and Submit a Case

Overview

Submitting a case to be featured in the ClearCorrect Case Gallery is straightforward. This article outlines the basic steps for registering for a Case Gallery account, creating your submission, and the necessary information and records required.

Submitting doesn't guarantee approval

Please note that submitting a case does not guarantee approval and publication. Your submission and records will be reviewed by a clinician and must meet specific criteria to be published. For more details, refer to the Case Gallery Case Submission Guidelines article.

Register for a Case Gallery Account

If you don't already have an account in the Case Gallery, you'll need to create one in order to submit a case. Follow these steps to register for a Case Gallery account.

  1. Go to https://results.clearcorrect.com/.
  2. Click on "Register".
  3. Select whether you are a doctor or a patient to continue.

Note

Patients can create an account in the Case Gallery to view cases. However, please be aware that only providers are able to submit cases. Patient accounts are strictly for viewing purposes.

Doctor Registration

  1. Complete the registration form questions.
  2. Confirm that you have read and agree with the Case Gallery Terms & Conditions.
  3. Confirm that you have read and agree with the Case Gallery Doctor Consent Agreement.
  4. Click Submit to continue.
  5. You will receive an email with a link to complete setting up your Case Gallery account.

Creating a Case Submission Form

You can start a case submission form from two locations: either click on 'Submit a Case' in the header or 'Create Submission' in your Dashboard.

Required Information and Sections of the Case Submission Form

The case submission details is similar to any online form, with fields requesting specific information that must be completed and submitted for review. In the sections below, we will review the required information for a Case Gallery submission and provide helpful tips to support you in getting your case published.

Patient information

This section requires basic information about the patient, which will help us understand the patient's condition and treatment plan. 

Note

It is important to note that no identifying information about the patient will be displayed in the Case Gallery.

You will need to provide the following information:

Patient Case Number
The case ID number is needed to validate the case. This can be located on the Case Details page in the Doctor Portal.
Classification
Identify whether the patient has a Class I, Class II or Class III occlusion.
Patient Gender
Identify if the patient is male, female, unspecified or other.
Treatment Option
Identify which ClearCorrect Treatment Option was used to treat this case.
Patient Date of Birth
This information will inform whether the patient is a growing or an adult patient.
Identify the wear schedule followed by the patient: 1-week, 10-days, 2-week, or 3-week intervals. This will indicate the duration of the treatment.
Number of Aligner Sets
Include the total number of aligners set that were used to treat the case.
Dentition
Select the type of dentition at the start of treatment: Mixed Dentition or Permanent Dentition.
Chief Complaint
Provide details regarding the patient's chief complaint. What was bothering them about their teeth or smile? What did they want corrected or fixed when they came to you?

Tip

Please ensure you provide detailed information about the patient's chief complaint. Entries that lack specifics or are limited to one-word answers may be rejected due to insufficient detail for publication.

Treatment Summary

The information requested in the Treatment Summary section will offer insights into the patient's clinical condition, the treatment techniques used, and the details of the achieved results.

Revisions Needed
How many revisions were required for the case? Indicate the total number to summarize the treatment process.
Total Treatment Time
Enter the total duration of the treatment in months. This value represents the expected length of the patient’s treatment plan.
Type of Retention
Select the type of retainer prescribed for the patient’s upper arch.
Type of Retention
Select the type of retainer prescribed for the patient’s lower arch.
Other Products Used
(Optional) Specify if any other products were used during the treatment (e.g., DentalMonitoring, Straumann, Medentika, Anthogyr), please indicate them here.
Other Product Used
Provide the other product used during the aligner treatment.
Clinical Conditions
Select any of the clinical conditions present in the patient from the provided list.
Treatment Techniques
Select any of the treatment techniques used to treat the patient from the provided list.
Clinical Takeaway
Provide a concise but detailed summary of the key clinical insights and outcomes from the case. Highlight the main challenges, important decisions, and lessons learned during treatment, as well as which clinical conditions were corrected or improved, whether revisions met their goals, and if the overall treatment objectives were achieved.

Tip

The more information you provide in the Clinical Takeaway section, the better. Cases submitted with minimal details, or one-word answers are unlikely to be approved. Highlight the success of the case, including all the details of how you treated the case and achieved the treatment goals and results.

Photos

Submissions require before and after photos from five different angles. You can also provide progress photos (such as at the beginning or end of a revision) if available. Photos are extremely important for cases submitted to the Case Gallery, as they serve as the main visual element.

Let's review the details and requirements for these photos.

There are specific photo quality standards that must be met for cases to be published in the Case Gallery. Please ensure that your before and after photos meet these standards before submitting to avoid the risk of your case being rejected.

  • Photos must not include any patient identifying factors, such as the nose, eyes, cheeks, or other facial features.
  • No fingers or gloves should be visible in the photo.
  • Ensure there are minimal distractions such as retractors or visible lips in the photo.
  • No visible food or excessive saliva visible in the photo.
  • The photo must not be blurry, over-exposed, washed out or too dark.
  • Ensure you use the same camera and orientation for both the before and after photographs. This consistency will guarantee that the photos align correctly when uploaded to the Case Gallery.
  • A minimum width of 1000px is preferred to ensure the photos align properly when uploaded.

Radiographs

You may choose to include radiographs from before and after treatment. You can upload before and after cephalometric x-rays and/or a before and after panoramic x-rays.

Note

Please ensure that the radiographs do not include any identifying information about the patient, such as their name, case number, or any other details revealing the patient's identity. Radiographs containing such information will not be included in the published case.
